Huka Lodge Appointment
New Zealand’s world-famous Huka Lodge has appointed Louis de Bièvre as General Manager. Mr de Bièvre, having initially studied law at the University of Utrecht, in The Netherlands,
switched to the world of hospitality, graduating from the Centre International de Glion, Switzerland three years later. Graduates from this prestigious hotel management school are actively sought by the world’s finest hotels – which led to Louis spending two years at the Four Seasons in Philadelphia, USA, on completion of his studies.
In 1992, Louis de Bièvre arrived at Huka Lodge, having been appointed Assistant Manager and spent three happy years with the property before leaving to create and operate several successful businesses in the local area. Since 2009, Huka Lodge had retained his services on a regular basis as a consultant, so when the position as GM became available he was an obvious candidate to fill the role.
